GPS Geofencing & Time Clock Verification

How the 150-meter PostGIS spatial geofence verifies worker punctuality and job attendance.

How Geofencing Works

Pro TeamX uses PostGIS geospatial database technology to calculate the real distance between the mobile device coordinates and the customer location coordinates at the instant the worker clicks "Clock In".

The default geofence radius is 150 meters, which accommodates parking across the street or tall building GPS drift while preventing workers from clocking in from their living room.

Reviewing Out-of-Fence Flags

If a worker clocks in outside the 150-meter perimeter, the time entry is saved with an OUT_OF_FENCE warning badge. Managers can view the exact distance and GPS map coordinates on the Time Clock approval dashboard before approving timesheets.

Managers can adjust the geofence perimeter in Settings → Operations if your company serves large agricultural estates or construction grounds.

Recording Breaks & Travel Time

Workers can pause their active shift to record mandatory rest breaks. Pro TeamX can calculate travel time between jobs automatically based on your company payroll configuration.
